Copy of The Latinos, Faith, Culture, HIV & Mental Health Conference
The Latinos, Faith, Culture, HIV & Mental Health Conference is geared for faith leaders and congregants. The Conference is held yearly at the California Endowment, located at 1000 N Alameda Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012 and it’s attended by approximately 250-300 faith leaders every year. The purpose of the Conference is to inspire a discussion about HIV/AIDS among California faith leaders and empower them to take a more active role in the fight against this devastating disease. Faith, mental health, substance abuse and Latino culture are also among the topics discussed with participants.
The conference has created a tremendous amount of awareness regarding our cause and enabled our organization to expand its visibility to other generous members of the Los Angeles faith community. We hope to further our mission of educating the community about HIV/AIDS. Because of their longevity and trust in the community, faith leaders who attend this type of conferences can create and sustain a dialogue for preventive health.
